The biggest and best mobile event for 2017, “Mobile World Congress 2017” has just ended. MWC 2017 was organised by GSMA and held in the Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Spain from 27 February – 2 March 2017. This year, at MWC lot of new Smartphone and Tablets were announced.

Here are the Highlights and round-up from MWC 2017.

Nokia

Nokia has relaunched classic 3310 feature phone in a new avatar with new snake game. Nokia 3310 is sleeker comes in different bright colours. HMD Global said that It is a 2G feature phone with 22 hours of battery life.

HMD Global has also introduced Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and global edition of Nokia 6. Nokia 6 was recently launched in China and saw a huge success there. Nokia 3 and Nokia 5  Runs on Android Nougat and will get regular updates from Google. Both Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 comes with 720p HD IPS display, 4G LTE support, 2GB of Ram Coupled with 16GB of expandable storage. Nokia 5 features a Fingerprint sensor and updated 13 MP Rear, 8 MP Front Camera. Compared to 8 MP Rear and 8 MP Front Camera of Nokia 3.

Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 comes with price tag of EUR 139 (approximately Rs. 9,800) & EUR 189 (approximately Rs. 13,500) respectively. While Global edition of Nokia 6 will be available at EUR 229 (approximately Rs. 16,000). HMD global has said that Nokia Smartphones will Manufacture in India and will go on sale from June 2017.

Samsung

Samsung announced Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book convertible at MWC 2017.

Samsung Galaxy book features a 12-inch Super AMOLED FHD (2160×1440) display, a 7th Gen Intel Core i5 Dual Core processor, 4GB+128GB SSD / 8GB+256GB SSD with expandable storage upto 256GB. It has 13-MP rear camera and a 5-MP front shooter. The Book also have Fast Charging, USB 3.0 Type C ports and runs on Windows 10.

Galaxy Tab S3 feature a 10.6-inch (1920×1280) FHD display, a 7th Gen dual-core Intel Core processor, 4GB RAM 64GB/128GB storage (expandable via microSD up to 256GB). The Tab S3 has a 5-megapixel rear and front camera. The Tab will come with S-Pen,quad speakers tuned by AKG.

At the end of Samsung’s Mobile World Congress presentation, they teased consumers with the launch trailer of its next Flagship handset, Galaxy S8. That has been set for launch on 29 March.

 

LG

Lg has announced there next flagship handset LG G6 at MWC 2017. LG G6 feature a large 5.7-inch 2,880 x 1,440 resolution display with FullVision display, and an 18:9 screen aspect ratio, the first for a smartphone. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB of Ram and 32GB of expandable storage. It also has Google Assistant, 13 MP Dual Rear camera with 5 MP Front shooter, IP68 certification, making it water and dust resistant.

Lenovo Moto G5 and G5 Plus

Lenovo-owned Motorola has announced most awaited budget smartphones Moto G5 and G5 Plus at MWC 2017. the Moto G5 and G5 Plus will come in a metal body design. The G5 and G5 Plus will come with a 5-inch and 5.2-inch display respectively. The phone will come with three varients, users can choose from 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM, expandable storage options will vary from 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Moto G5 and G5 Plus will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. Moto G5 Plus will have 12-megapixel camera with dual autofocus pixels, 3000 mAh battery while G5 will have 13 MP Rear camera, 2800 mAh battery. The Moto G5 and G5 Plus will be launched in India on March 15 and will be priced lower than their predecessors.
